What is The Difference between CEO Moms and CEO Singles

Were it possible to go back even just twenty years in time, you would be branded a dreamer if you were to bring back female leadership statistics from 2014 with you. In such a short space of time, the entire complex of females in work has changed entirely.

Today, 9.1 million businesses are owned across the United States by females, and they generate in excess of $1.4 trillion dollars.

These companies also employ 7.8 million people - that's more than the whole population of Scotland. Scotland, you might be interested to know, also has a First Minister in charge who is a female!

It's positive to see the effective and rapid change that is happening in business & politics from a female perspective - but one of the biggest reasons why barriers were put up in the first place still stands today. Forever seen as the one to "look after the family" the female demographic within corporate leadership and CEO positions was low in the past.

In 2014, a report by the State of Women-Owned Businesses stated that it was seeing an incredible 1,288 new businesses launched every single day in the last year.

  • How would that be possible if everyone was simply looking after their children?
  • An old-school stereotype that became outdated decades ago is still prominent in many parts of society today, but what difference does it actually make?
  • What's the difference between a female CEO with children, and one who has no marital or parental attachments?

Shared Lessons

One thing that many of us fear is being taken out of our comfort zones. It's a terrifying prospect, and leaves many of us really unsure of what to do, say or act like.

However, becoming too lax in your comfort zone leads to stagnation and can really create a level of inertia that's hard to recover from. When your routine becomes so similar that you feel like you are living in Groundhog Day, perhaps leaving your comfort zone could be for the best after all. Make yourself get out of your shell and come and react to new situations?

One of the main benefits of leaving your comfort zone is to actually challenge your talents and your skills. As a business owner or an entrepreneur - single or as a mom, you should never find that your days have a pattern that follows the same outcome day in, day out. Instead, you should be probing at new opportunities while optimizing your approach to old activities and clients with the same optimism that you did at the very beginning.

By bringing in new clients and engaging in new markets, you can make sure that your business never falls into being known for just one thing. This allows you to grow and develop as quickly as possible in thefuture.
