The results are inCancer is knocked out in the first round! In the post where I revealed the diagnosis, I put boxing gloves on there for a reasonI planned on knocking Cancer out! Because of great family, friends and great doctors, we did just that.
Sorry I just had to get that out-of-the-way right off the bat. But the real reason for this post is to say thank you! Thanks for the prayers, the encouraging words and your friendship!! I think that sometimes we say that you are in our prayers and not truly realize the impact. I know that I have. But now being on this side of it, I will never take those words for granted again. Just hearing those words before God intervened made the whole process bearable. I am truly not worthy of all of the great people in my life.
I know that this is in a blog post that will be on the internet, (not very personal I know), but to us this is a very personal and sincere thank you straight from our hearts. Now let's take that friendship, encouraging words and prayers out into our daily activities. The world could sure use more of it. We complain about everything in the media focusing on the negative, but that is just because us positive people are not shouting our message loud enough! My family heard you loud and clear in our time of need and we are eternally grateful. Part of my daily activities with the time that I have left will be paying it forward! You have inspired me to inspire others.
I have always had a dream of being a large financial supporter of St Jude's Children's Hospital because kids are my passion. I've got a lot of work to do but it is time to make that happen.
I will be walking a little taller tomorrow and I hope you do too because this is our victory not mine. Someone that you run into tomorrow might be struggling with something other than cancer but could still use the love that you have shared with my family. It easier to ignore it, but victories don't usually come the easy way.
I am always hesitant to mention people specifically without their permission and I am always worried that someone will get left out. But some of you definitely went way above and beyond. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Be blessed and be a blessing!
Many of you have and the rest of you that read this are welcome to subscribe to my blog. I use business as a tool for this blog because it is what I do, but the goal is to build a community of positive people who want to make a difference.
